Les Misérables follows the journey of Jean Valjean, a former convict seeking redemption after breaking parole. Pursued relentlessly by Inspector Javert, Valjean builds a new life, caring for Cosette, the orphaned daughter of the tragic Fantine. As Cosette grows up, she falls in love with Marius, a young revolutionary preparing for the Paris uprising of 1832. Against a backdrop of poverty, injustice, and political unrest, their lives intertwine with students, rebels, and the ruthless Thénardiers. The story culminates at the barricades, where sacrifice, courage, and compassion reveal the enduring power of hope, love, and humanity.
